Black Panther 2 announced by Marvel Studios: coming in May 2022

We are getting so much great content from the Disney D23 Expo this year, especially at the Walt Disney Studios panel. Marvel Studios has been standing up and dropping so much news of the Eternals and Black Widow they almost slipped the Black Panther 2 release date through without barely a murmur.

While we have no knowledge of what the movie will entail, or even the true name of the movie at this point, we do know that Ryan Coogler, the vision behind the first Black Panther has already written a treatment. The synopsis is likely light on the ground and explains why the movie isn't coming to us sooner, they haven't even started writing it yet, let alone filming.
I know 2022 feels like a long time to wait but Marvel is going to be giving a lot of amazing movies between now and then so be patient. Wakanda will return and I think we can all agree it's going to be amazing. Black Panther 2 will grace our theatres on May 6, 2022 and it's going to be huge.
